A puppet show of Vietnam Puppet Theater.
The program is within the framework of "Egyptian Cultural Week in Vietnam", held on the occasion of the 55th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations between the two countries.
Accordingly, the Egyptian puppet troupe will perform the water puppet performance "Isis and Osiris" on the morning of March 8 at the Thang Long Puppet Theater. This repertoire is the result of a collaboration between artists from both countries, within the framework of a cooperation program between the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Vietnam and the Ministry of Culture of Egypt.
Artist May Mohab, director of the show, of the Cairo Puppet Theater (Egypt) said: Water puppetry is a unique art form of Vietnam. Through research, exchange and artistic cooperation between the two countries, in recent years, the water puppet performance "Isis and Osiris" of the Egyptian puppet art troupe was staged, widely introduced to the public.
“Through the exchange and cooperation on the occasion of this year's" Egyptian Culture Week in Vietnam ", we hope that the water puppet art will be made into more large-scale plays to continue advertising and promoting Vietnam's image in Egypt, ”said artist May Mohab.
Ms. Ngo Thanh Thuy, Director of Vietnam National Puppetry Theater, said: The theater is also building plays combining water puppets and stage puppets to serve tourists. Therefore, the Theater wishes to cooperate with the Egyptian puppet troupe to continue promoting Vietnam's image through this unique art form.
