On the evening of January 31 (the 7th day of the new year of the Canh Ty), the Vietnam National Puppetry Theater had two touring performances for the Village Festival on the occasion of the New Year of Canh Ty 2020.
Water puppet show "The well of village" performed at Yen Lo communal house, Yen Nghia, Ha Dong and stage puppet show "Rhythm of the Homeland" performed at Dai Mo communal house, Tu Liem, Hanoi.
The repertoire of the two shows are unique and vibrant water puppet shows, characterized by folk cultural features imbued with national identity. The familiar scene of Vietnamese countryside is recreated with banyan trees, wells, village ponds under the spotlight, becoming sparkling, familiar and close. Besides, the children also interacted with the funny chipmunk.
The two performances of the Vietnam Puppet Theater have been a great success and have received enthusiastic support from the audience with their unique puppet art form.
