The Art Show entitled “Countryside in Urban Street”
The Art work "Quê trong phố"
Vietnam National Puppetry Theatre has launched an art program entitled “Quê trong phố” (Countryside in Urban Streets” at 361 Trường Chinh Street, Khương Trung, Thanh Xuân, Hà Nội. This unique cultural and art program takes place every day at the water puppet stage for water puppet shows and the outdoor stage for stage puppet shows.
The highlight of the Program are traditional puppet items combined with the installation arts entitled “The Soul of the Countryside” which was awarded the Golden Medal at the 2008 Hanoi International Marionette Festival.
At the outdoor stage space, stage puppet show “Homeland Rhythm” which was presented with the Championship Award at the International Marionette Festival in Thailand in 2014 will be given for traditional art lovers.
The Art Program “Quê trong Phố” will help audiences understand deeper the art of puppetry in the Theatre museum area and enjoy traditional food in "Góc Hà Nội" (Hanoi Corner) with different Vietnamese specialties.
In busy downtown streets of Hanoi, you will find a beautiful ancient Vietnamese architectural style space inside Vietnam National Puppetry Theatre. A temple-like water stage shining the lake with an ancient tile roof together with the installation arts will provide you with a cultural space full of ancient Vietnamese cultural identity.
The Theatre has two separate stages accommodating more than 250 audiences each with modern lighting and sounding systems on service.
In addition, Vietnam National Puppetry Theatre also has shows for children during Summer 2017, at 20.00h every Saturday evening and Sunday morning.
