A total of 64 medals were awarded. In which, 4 gold medals were for Bpolar (Ayit - Israel), Vanya (Youth Theater), The fate of Kieu (Vietnam National Puppetry Theater) and Life (Vietnam Drama Theater).
Bpolar is seen as a convergence show of many efficient test substances. Lasts for about 60 minutes, like the diary of the life of a mentally ill person. During those 60 minutes, viewers could not take their eyes off the stage because of what the director has transformed and handled.

The fate of Kieu (Vietnam National Puppetry Theater) again impresses with the main form of masking puppetry. The script is taken care of with meaningful lines, beautiful and luxurious stage design; The harmonious sound, music, and light make the audience very excited with the emotional show with all colors and comedy.
And the play Vanya creates feelings for by effectively handling the space on the stage, the props, the structure of the play, and the actor's acting. In particular, sand is a good tool for actors to interact and release emotions.
Dust covered the stage, spreading down the entire auditorium, making it difficult for the audience to breathe, suffocating as in tune with what the characters were going through on the stage.

In addition, the festival also awarded 5 silver medals for the plays: Thousand years of white clouds (The Voice of Vietnam), Macbeth Mirror (Kalyani Lamandalam delegation - India), Bloody fields (Thessaly Theater, Greece) , The Tale of Ancient Painting (Shanghai Huaiju Opera Troupe, China) and Under the Sand is Water (Youth World Theater, Ho Chi Minh City University of Theater and Cinema).
The jury also awarded 55 individual medals to the artists, including 20 gold and 35 silver medals. In addition, there are also the Best Directing Awards go to director Nguyen Tien Dung (the play The fate of Kieu), Best Visual Artist by painter Le Dinh Nguyen (the play The fate of Kieu), The author Prospects for Artist Dong Thi Que Anh (Dong Nai Art Theater), and the best lighting design award for Bpolar.

This year's festival has the participation of 14 domestic art units and 7 international groups. The plays with duration of 50-120 minutes are quite diverse in genres from Cai luong, drama, traditional opera to puppetry, circus ...
Since the 3rd festival in 2016, the organizers have determined that the International Experimental Stage Festival will take place every 3 years in Vietnam. The 5th festival is scheduled to be held in Hanoi in the autumn of 2022.
Between competitions, there are small seminars for the crafters to meet and exchange about the experiments they have brought to the festival. There have been disputes about art views that have almost no end. That is also fine because when we have to test, we have to accept whether right can be wrong, maybe success can fail. With the experiment, the artist should be free to unleash, create, not restrict, impose, or prejudice.
There are a number of plays that give the festival impressive experiments and promise to be used to increase the effectiveness of a theatrical performance. However, there are also productions like a normal theatrical play, with no new creativity.
