Vietnam puppetry tour "Concurrence Vietnamese puppetry"
According to Resolution No. 08-NQ / TW dated 16/01/2017 on developing tourism as a spearhead of the economic sector, Politburo of Vietnam has set out viewpoints on tourism development in the current period, including “to develop sustainable tourism, to preserve and promote traditional values of the nation", striving to 2020, Vietnam tourism basically to become a spearhead in the economic sector. The research and development of tourism products and programs linking with art, culture, performance, and food have been paid attention to promote fine traditional values of the nation, diversify tourism products, and create a cultural depth in tourism products.
Under the coordination between Vietnam National Administration of Tourism which is under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and Vietnam Puppetry Theater on the project "Support the development of tourism products, visiting museums, linking with art performances and food”, in Hanoi, at 18h30 on 19 January 2018, at the Vietnam Puppetry Theater – No.361 Truong Chinh Street, Thanh Xuan District, Hanoi took place a special traditional art show named "Concurrence Vietnamese puppetry"
The program lies in the series of projects of introducing typical tourist destinations for tradition, culture, art, and food in Hanoi in particular and the country in general such as History Museum of Vietnam, Museum of Fine Arts of Vietnam, Vietnam Folk Music Conservation and Development Center and Vietnam Puppetry Theater.
Vietnam puppetry tour "Concurrence Vietnamese puppetry" of Vietnam Puppetry Theater is an art show which combines harmoniously and newly between stage-water puppetry and folk music, an excellent interference between traditional and contemporary arts. Ancient Vietnamese architecture space with a pagoda in the middle of a lake, roof tiles, banyan, bamboo trees .... together with art in decoration – arrangement have created a close scene featuring ancient Vietnamese villages. The traditional water puppetry has been creative in a novel way of performing, creating an unique impression when it is combined with the stage puppetry such as stick puppets, leg puppets, mask puppets, string puppets.
“Concurrence Vietnamese puppetry" brought the audience unique performances with modern sound, bright light, folk songs, literature, poetry singing, folk music in dazzling, attractive dance. The show selected programs which have won high awards and prizes at domestic and international festivals.
“Concurrence Vietnamese puppetry" puppetry tour made the audience satisfied with selective art programs full of national identity. In addition, tourists were given a chance to visit and explore galleries on puppetry art, puppet making processes and directly take part into puppetry performances with artists.
The tour with puppetry art has contributed to promoting rich traditional cultural values of our people, linking tourism with culture - art to form a series of attractive cultural and art products of the capital with thousand years of civilization.
